Once you have signed up with AssKickin for one of our great web hosting deals, or selected us as your web designer/developer, the next step is to provide everything we will need related to your existing site.

Live Site Files and Data

We will need all of the files that make up your website. This includes webpages, images, sound clips and more. We will also need a 'dump' of any databases your website uses. This is a text file that has all the information needed to re-create your database and re-load the information. These should be compatible with the MySQL/MSSQL version listed on our web hosting packages pages. If possible, we also need the name, username and password for the database that is used by your website.

Existing Email Accounts

If you are now hosting with AssKickin Solutions, then you will have to give us a list of the email addresses that belong to your website. It will also be helpful to have the passwords that go with them. We will then create these on the new hosting account so you will not experience any interruption of service. Make sure to back up any old emails you want to keep that are still with your old hosting account.

Programming Language Requirements

What languages does your website use? For example, PHP, Perl, ASP, Coldfusion, etc. Check our web hosting packages to verify that we can support your requirements. Talk to our sales department to find out if we can provide development work in your required language.

Domain Name Server Switch

Your domain name is the name of your website. For example, www.your-company.com. If you are moving your hosting to AssKickin Solutions, then you will have to have access to your domain settings. You will have to change your domain name servers (DNS) to point to the ones that we will provide to you. This will link your domain to our hosting. Sometimes people have a 3rd person/company manage their domain. Are you still in contact with this person/company? Do you have a login to do this yourself? We can provide assistance if you have access but don't know what to do.

Source Files (optional)

If AssKickin Solutions will be doing some work on your website, we will need any source files you might have. These can include source images used to create the final images on your site, and any documentation about your website. For example, Photoshop and Word documents, templates, texture images, etc.
